TransferSpreadsheet Method in 2000 (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I'm using the TransferSpreadsheet method in Access 2000 to export a query in Excel format. my problem is that when I open the spreadsheet, there is a ' at the beginning of each cell. Does anyone know of a way to avoid this?

I think that's because the fields are text type (the ' doesn't show or print,you only see it when you edit the field?).

If it's a serious problem, one alternative might be to use TransferText instead and export it as a .csv file (if your PC is setup like mine good ol' Excel will have claimed the file association for .csv files, so they will open into excel by default)
