Me wants to go sideways ----->

Hey all!

I have a report listing students results on a law course. It has 4 columns and is in a top-bottom, left-right order, with 4 columns.

In the detail, there is a field with the students name, then underneath is a subform. This in turn actually lists the modules/grades per student.

I would like to have the records running left-right so that each student only takes up one line at a time. I cannot work out how to get the records (in the subform) running accross rather than down...

just ask if further explanation is needed,

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers, LeeBoy:cool:

i thought that, but I'm modifying the report rather than doing the query... The guys gonna be back in 2 months so don't want him to not have a clue whats going on with his system.

The query is cool, i just want it to come out sideways!!!!!

I think I'm having a similar issue in the "Table Comparison" thread. It hasn't been fully answered yet, but you might find an answer or a prompter at least...

Did you ever get an answer to this. I'm having a similiar problem. Trying to transpose values in an access sub report

I didnt get a straight answer buddy, but I worked it out. Thing is is was so long ago that I can remember which report it was about! I'll have a look for you when i get a little time at work today and get back to you.

In the meantime take a peek at the thread mentioned below - lemme know if it helped.

Also a quick explanation of your problem might jog my memory buddy.

LeeBoy :D  :o

You can change the subreport so that it has several columns rather than one. Open the subreport in design view and go to File/PageSetup.
