India is not part of the Commonwealth so I've no idea why you chose that - you're almost as up-to-date as the Yanks, just 60 years out with that one.

Canada is not made up of indiginous persons speaking French, it was due to the French settling there, so therefore it should be erased as it is an imported language and France does not belong to the UK commonwealth. (thank god)

Australia and New Zealand are so far away no-one cares about them anyway. If anything interesting should happen there, it's always night time in the real world so gets little airtime anyway.

If India is NOT a Commonwealth country, why do they attend Commonwealth Conferences? Dirty weekend with the Queen perhaps.

What about the ENGLISH non indiginous persons. Their presence is lacking in your response. So you know, in Canada the terms English and French refers to a person's first language, not their national origin. You may also want to Google the term "Metis"

I believe we have a few posters from that part of the world who may disagree with your position. I shall leave it to them to rebut you.

Which it is not, it gained independance in 1948. I have no idea and care even less why (or even if it is true) that they attend the conferences.
Maybe it's reverse psychology to the USA having the 'world' series where only 2 countries attend.

It's a British colony, as it was virtually empty at the time, English should be spoken and French should be banned.

Anything south of the equater is almost insignificant because the northern hemisphere is asleep. Important matters only happen in the north. Ask any American where Australia is and they'll have a problem - most have no idea where Europe is. That's how important Oz and NZ are to the North.

India IS a member of the Commonwealth. Your position that it should not be is at best irrelevant and at worst pretentious.
India became indendent in 1947.

That area of the world currently referred to as Canada was a French colony long before the British ever heard of it (with the exception of the island of Newfoundland). Your opinion that the French language should be banned smacks of the sort of provincialism that you are contstantly accusing Americans of possessing. If you are going to make these sweeping generalized statements, you should read more history.

How odd, to the people that live there, what happens in the UK is like the far side of the moon.
If you check, I believe you will find that Sydney and Tokyo are in the same time zone. I suppose what happens in the Tokyo Stock Market has no effect on you.

The Dow Jones index is the one that has reverberations around the world, the rest just follow. Screw-up in the USA and we all feel it like we did this week.

That's why the USA shabby mortgage dealings are currently screwing the world economy. The sooner the USA is a spent force the better, it shouldn't be too long now.

Neatly avoided.

and Happy Easter
