Trump Administration Predictions (24 Viewers)

And that, which you acknowledge, is precisely why prices won't simply go up in a way that corresponds exactly to tariffs, as you continue to assume.
by "working their way" through the supply chain, what you really mean is those tariff prices being absorbed by various people in the chain until the retailer is finally presented with their price, in which case they may or may not pass it all on to the consumer.
As Target CEO recently said, Price adjustment is the last resort and only one way of mitigating tariff prices.
This is getting too obvious to even discuss any more - you can see by way of many evidences that you're wrong; you just keep repeating the same nonsense
Who do you think those people are who are absorbing the costs. Yes, the tariffs will probably lower corporate profits some, discouraging investment. I want to assure as a businessman, passing the costs to the customer is the first resort not the last resort. Corporate leaders are reluctant to talk about this for fear that Trump will retaliate.

Why do you favor raising tariffs and lowering income taxes? Tariffs distort the economy and the revenues are less predictable.

Trump said that Americans don't pay tariffs. Was he lying or just ignorant?

And always keep in mind that these tax increases were not passed by Congress and are therefore illegal. Everything will need to be paid back. Don't expect companies to lower prices fast when they struck down.

Trump has always been a big debtor, so it no surprise he wants inflation.
That's how real estate works. Duh!
Are all the undocumented workers who did the grunt jobs in America, and were deported, included in the labor reports?
"Undocumented" is a made up weasel word so Democrats don't have to admit to themselves that these people are actually all criminals, even the nice ones that we like.

No one is in favor of tariffs except perhaps Trump. The point of the current battle is to normalize them so that we are not always on the losing end of them. Trump would prefer only tariffs as was the rule in our first 100+ years and no income tax.

What does the losing end mean? If Americans pay a higher tax for imports than foreigners pay on our exports is that a win?

Illegal entry is a misdemeanor since 1965. It does not apply to those who requested refugee status or visa overstayers which constitute the majority of the undocumented. Only the Trump administration actually prosecuted for illegal entry, everyone else just used deportation.

Just a thought question... if they are undocumented, how do we know which category is the majority? And for those who falsely requested refugee status, which way should we count them? Quoting stats is wonderful except for the Mark Twain quote that says "There are lies, there are damned lies, and there are statistics."

There you go again. Liberals don't consider misdemeanors to be crimes.

Crimes should be prosecuted. Trump believes in law and order. Either you use the Democrat (Stalinist) method of only prosecuting some crimes against some people or you prosecute all crimes regardless of the perpetrator. Think about why Lady Justice is blind. If you don't intend to prosecute certain crimes, then they should NOT BE CRIMES. PERIOD. I've said many times that I don't object to having an open border. I do strongly object to having an open border to a welfare state. That is suicidal and I don't remember ever signing the suicide pact.
