Not me, not any more, because ....the rent is too damn high.
Letting Trump get to me would cause mental failure LOL

I just tuck all the information away in my mind, every time I hear about another citizen swept up in the immigration raids that were conducted unconstitionally on the basis of race and guessing, or every time I hear about another illegal thing he's done, I tuck it away for next voting season.
And I admit "I was partly-to-mostly wrong".

And that's about it.

I would be very surprised if someone doesn't file suit on this one. Pete H. DOES have the right to try to control what HIS people do, but the press corps doesn't work for him. THEY are paid by private organizations dedicated to getting stories. If Pete wants to make it a firing offense for someone to talk "off the record" then he CAN do that. But the press corps is one of the "checks and balances" in which people are kept informed about what is going on. They happen to have a constitutional amendment in their favor and they ALSO have "whistleblower laws" to protect people who see something and say something.

Thales750, I've never been a Kool-Aid drinker. Some things that have happened under DJT just don't matter to me; other things, I actually agree with. And some things I think need to go even farther than they already have. But I spot-disagree with you and sometimes spot-agree with you. This is the way with people... we don't all think alike. Were you expecting something else? You have found a topic where we agree. Whoop-de-doo, but next time we might disagree again. It happens.
I know you don't, I think the next few post should be fun to watch. Real Cool-Aid drinkers are about to surface. I have way with them.

For the record Isaac, I never thought of you as having TDS. I know the immigration thing is near and dear to you, but that does not qualify you for TDS. That's what I think anyway.

The folks who think DJT's shit don't stink amuse me as much as the ones who would find fault with him were he to personally cure cancer...

The "direct assault on the very foundation of American freedoms and liberty" has come from a dishonest press during the Obama/Biden presidencies. According to some surveys, the press is 90+% biased against the Trump administration. The press is not reporting truthfully. Jim Acosta during Trump's first term only made abusive adversarial accusations instead of asking valid questions. We don't need a Jim Acosta purposely disrupting Pentagon press briefings as an operative for the Democratic party. Then there is the case of James Comey who used a New York Times reporter to leak classified information. The news media needs to clean-up its act and report the news to uphold the "very foundation of American freedoms and liberty" instead of being the propaganda arm for the Democratic party.

The Biden administration stiff-armed social media to suppress conservative voices. They even attempted to set-up an Orwellian Ministry of Truth. I will also close with the Hunter Biden laptop scandal were the government and the media were complicit in suppressing stories that would hurt the Democratic party agenda. That scandal was a "direct assault on the very foundation of American freedoms and liberty".
Oh mommy mommy, the other boys are doing it.
Remember your grandfather's words, two wrongs do not make a right.

That to me is the one thing that reminds me the most of pre-WWII Germany, racial hatred.

I mean the unbridled carpet bombing of our institutions is pretty bad as well, but it's this extreme hatred, some of which has been demonstrated here, and a denial of the similarity of the events that led up to the holocaust, which is the most alarming.

It has been a real honor to observe your evolution over the last months. Thank you for letting us see that side of you.

And this is where you and I differ. I subscribe 100% to the idea of national Sovereignty - what you call hate, I call law enforcement. Not going to beat this dead horse anymore, anything I can say has already been said.

hmm, I actually agree with you more than is obvious. I think the goals and methods of the politics over the last 40 years has been despicable, from both sides. It has all been to serve political gains. We could have solved this decades ago with some very basic, and small changes to the way we handle it.
When I refer to the hatred, I am referring to the demonization of the actual workers. There are more benefits from this highly skilled, hard working class of people. We all benefited, and now they are taking the entire backlash.

There are some videos on a debate between Bush Sr. and Mr. Regan that pretty much sum it up. Pat even alluded to killing them in a previous post. That sentiment is not all that rare

I'm pretty sure you are misquoting me so please stop NOW.

Under Nazi Germany, Jews weren’t facing deportation or detention over immigration status they were being stripped of citizenship and targeted for extermination. There’s no current U.S. policy that resembles that level of intent or brutality.

And by constantly comparing Trump to Hitler and ICE to the Gestapo, you are fomenting hatred. Stop it NOW! You have been warned in the past regarding this behavior.

You are very close to the edge.

You also don't know the difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration. Being against law breaking criminals gaining entry to this country to suck off the teat of our welfare system has nothing whatsoever to do with what race the criminal is.

Per discussions with Jon, I am taking this thread to be inactive for a week. Cool it, folks - the rhetoric is getting elevated again, all too quickly for my comfort. Remember that since July, the U.K. Online Safety Act is in force.

In a week, I'll open things up again.
