How's that gonna work in a world where work has no value? We already live in a time where every act of government is designed to create more wealth at the top? Do you really think that smaller government is going to help the people? If so, how?

Smaller government means less interference with people's lives. Which the Trump administration has no interest in doing.

For example, rather than abolishing the Department of Education, they are punishing universities because of students taking political stands they don't like.

People are also being punished from preferring to buy products from a foreign country. Or working without prior permission from the Federal government. Or threatening people with jail for unspecified crimes.

Most wealthy people want a functional government, not the MAGA crap.

Yes, it's hard. The Harvard Business Review from maybe 50-60 years ago stated that 80% of new businesses failed - and that was during Eisenhower's terms in office when the USA economy was in a post-war boom. But the funny thing about that is that even now, new businesses DO catch on and become viable. People DO find ways to make honest money by the sweat of their brows or the cleverness of their ideas. An idea I still don't follow that much - but it IS a money-maker - is the idea of an "influencer" or a "vlogger", basically an advertising shill for things on X, TikTok, or YouTube. It is working and that has to be because some folks have forgotten how to think for themselves so as a form of entertainment, live vicariously through others.

No, they are punishing universities for allowing Jews to be harassed on campus. Free speech is free speech but the universities allow Jews to be harassed and call it free speech but they ban conservative speakers because some students find their opinions hurtful. We're engineers, not too many engineers are here illegally.
I just work with people that may or may not be undocumented. I don't care either way. The problem is not the workers, it 's people like you buying into the rhetoric. Y'all make it where a criminal can be president, just by playing to your contempt. Think about that, a conman is president and you worry about a guy working to feed his kids. And then you claim they are all on welfare.

If you really wanted to make this better, there are many things that would solve the problems. But no one supports them because people like you will ignore every other thing that needs to be fixed, and focus on this one issue. Not many want to fix it, especially you. How else could you get such an incompetent person elected without relying on single issue voting?

And oh yeah, I own the consulting firm, I'm not an employee. I partner with American Engineers, Surveyors, and Contractors. We develop properties. You know, one of those people that are actually effected by regulations, and yet, you don't hear me complaining about them. I understand their value

I don't use words like that when I'm talking to adults, even the ones that disagree with me.

I do a lot thinking, and researching, of things that run counter to my beliefs. It may be hard to recognize that when Atilla is to your left.
