Trump Administration Predictions (1 Viewer)

Yeah saying something in poor taste is really not a cause for the FTC to threaten your license.. obviously

Celebrities who crossed Disney (ABC)
Roseanne Barr
Gina Carano
James Gunn
Bill Maher
Jimmy Kimmel
The list is endless and under different administrations and chairman.

The FCC and the Federal Reserve are examples of unelected bureaucrats who answer only to the President and Congress. Many people, including the late great George Carlin, believe these entities are unconstitutional. If you agree, the next step is to stop obsessing on your TDS, because that distraction will be a dead end in three years while these entities will still remain.

Not so sure about that, that which President is currently in power doesn't have a lot to do with their behavior.
But yes, they may be unconstitutional, I agree and should be scrutinized in their own right

No network is obligated to continue to loose millions every year to support a show that has no viewership. Think about why the two shows that have been cancelled were cancelled. It was ad revenue, plain and simple. With more than 50% of the country supporting Trump, the bulk of the viewership dropped out as the attacks became a permanent, and mostly unfunny, fixture of late-night comedy. When the viewership dropped precipitously, the ad revenue went with it. Why should the networks continue to support shows that loose millions of dollars annually? Politics is politics and the networks lean left but money trumps politics and so the shows were cancelled.
Then why did they bring him back?

What is the Left?
The non-fascist obviously.

the whole 'fascism' thing is just a manifestation of the reality that Gen Z has some legitimate struggles in comparison with older generations when it comes to economics, such as wages vs. housing costs being one of the biggest, along with foolish decisions they made to get 100k in debt for a 4 year degree, rather than getting scholarships and going to community college.

as a result of that, they're bitter at more $ successful people. It's that simple. That contrast, in their view, proves "fascism".

We're all fascists if you own a home with a full 2 car garage in the suburbs, and you support the continued economics that makes that possible for you, you're a fascist.

I thought it was just a massive generalization.

I believe 'both answers are right'. There IS a faction of the populace who qualifies as 'the left', for sure - as there is for the right side too.
Then there are people who are pretty thoughtful and humble about forming and refining and tuning opinions, but tend to go with the liberal viewpoints most of the time, and same thing on the right - there are the die hard "Trump and Israel can do no wrong no matter what" (which is as crazy as those who have TDS in the opposite vein), and there are the "I'll evaluate their actions on a case by case basis" (the only sanity IMHO)

Carr should be removed from office.
Don't you just love the power of calling for someone's removal because you think he has done something unforgivable? Apparently what Charlie did was even more unforgivable because he was cancelled permanently by someone who thinks like you.

If you object to a particular law, you should be blaming Congress for passing the law rather than the Executive branch for enforcing it. The Executive branch does not get to pick and choose which laws it should enforce. The Constitution isn't a suggestion, neither are laws passed by Congress. There is no "use your own judgement" qualification in the Constitution.

It is not in the public interest for public figures to lie to the public. The accumulated weight of lies spread by broadcast TV should result in every license being pulled if we are going to use "lie" as the criterion. The problem with this one test though is "did the person know he was lying?". If it was an honest mistake, then an apology should be forthcoming. If it was a malicious, intentional lie, no apology will be offered.

Then why did they bring him back?
Maybe they have a death wish. How would I know? Check his ratings. At least they won't be adversely affected by all the affiliates that will be preempting Kimmel in the future. Those people from fly-over country were not fans anyway.

PS - I guess we won't be getting any apologies from any of the TDS sufferers who claimed inaccurately that DJT is a dictator and made ABC cancel Kimmel.
