Hi All

Has anyone else had trouble making a graph that allows a time line.
Let me explain

I have some data .... say for Example

_________________________________
DateOfSomthing ValueOfSomthing
01/01/01 1
02/01/01 2
04/01/01 3
__________________________________

I use the chart wizard to make a bar/Line graph the usual way,
Insert chart, pick a table, choose the sumof for the y axis, choose the date(by day) for the x axis and no series.

I dont seem to be able to graph this data so that the 03/01/01
appears in the x axis.

This makes it imposible to graph a nice history with peeks and trouphs at the right point.

All my graph does (using the data above) is make a nice straight line and misses out 03/01/01.

How annoying :-(
If anyone can help with this it would be greatly appretiated

I hate it when I find the exact question I have and nobody answered them

Me three!!!

me 4!!! and been searching heaps, all solutions seem to involve spending cash :)

I settled for and have been using a graph in 2003 like in the example thread I showed. It seems to work ok.

doesn't seem to be openable for me, changed the "download" extension to mdb but access not happy with it, keeps saying it wants another dll?

They should be fine I just downloaded them and they work. You should not be changing the extension as they are already .mdb. Also remember they are not finished examples but relate to a question that I had.

chrome downloads timeline_a.mdb as timeline_a.download, i swear ;)

I believe you. Maybe try FF or IE. I am sure it is not the first time that Chrome/Google has tried to be different.

well i won't try to hold that against them this once... i love my chrome!!!! lol

haven't used fox much but had to go to IE to get those files (thanks btw!) - still scrubbing the still of IE of me!!!(i feel dirty...)

I've been using Fox for quite a while now. The last time I used IE was like 6 months. You can't do without IE if you do some web dev too :( lol

You have to admit that it is a pretty strange thing that it is doing in this case. If you dont have ff i wouldnt be hittin the old delete button on IE just yet, till google takes over the world. :-) and we are all driving Google cars, powered by Google Gas and we go shopping at Googlemart.

lmao pretty true... turned out renaming the "download" part "mdb" was correct and chrome did ok - i'm lacking the OWC11.DLL (version 1.0) needed anyway. on access 2007 they no longer support that object on install....
