I said current Congress. I'm pretty sure these twits weren't running the show in 1812.

Of course none of those wars would have happened had you still been under British Rule, and therein lies your first mistake....

More Tea anybody....

Because, the British haven't been involved in any of these... ;)

If we have been, we made damn sure that we turned up on time and switched the lights off when we were the last ones to leave...

WWII - British 1939 - 1945
Yanks - 1942ish - 1945...

Yeah, we were minding our own business on that one, just shipping you guys some food, weapons, oil, and the like. :p

We were going to sit that one out until someone had the bright idea to sneak attack us, and one of their friends decided to declare war on us as well.

That got us a little annoyed.

Oh, and in regards to AB's little list, I have to point out that the "Global War on Terror" is basically a political boondoggle designed to get votes, usually Conservative votes. It's less of a true war than even the War on Drugs.

Also, you missed the First and Second Barbary Wars.

Wow, that is so moving...

How brave the Tunisians were, and the British Government has basically left them to economic ruin by stopping British from going there on Holiday.

I agree on the bravery of the Tunisians. And a fair chunk of our much vaunted overseas aid bill or man power , should be used to help Tunisia sort its security out - and get it back as a destination to travel to, and restore some Tunisian livelyhoods.
