Hi all,
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good book or books for self teaching .Net. I have the self pace training kit but it's mainly for getting ready to take the test for MCSD. I need to learn .Net from ground up. Do I need to get the Visual Basic software or does it come with the book? Please help.

You will want a copy and, for a limited time, you can get a full version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Standard (for FREE) here (by participating in 2 virtual labs):

I did and got my copy (it costs $9.50 USD for shipping)

And you can get the VB.NET 2005 Express edition free here:

But, I'm still struggling myself with good tutorials on it, so hopefully someone has some good suggestions.
