Unexpected Database Memory Growth

Hello,

I am using Access 2002.
I have an MDE front end that links to a db on the server.
The back end db memory size is around 10MB at the start of the day.
At the end of the day it gets to about 60 MB.
I compact it in the morning and it goes back down to around 10MB.

Would anyone have any ideas why this maybe?

There are no temp tables used in the back end, they are all in the MDE.

any queries which you are using are they actually saved as queries in the query window, or are you creating them via VBA ? Also it would be better if you use saved queries rather than creating your SQL statements in VBA.
