Updating a table from two subforms?

I have a form that contains two separate subforms. One has six records that automatically update from a table (one record per employee) when a name is selected from a dropdown on the main form. The other is linked to another table (many records per employee), but I haven't figured out how to get the six controls in the 1st subform into the 2nd subform's table.

I've tried adding six text boxes to the 2nd subform and transferring the contents from the controls in the 1st subform, but it's not working. Is there an easy way to do this? Any help you could offer would be appreciated.
