I have MDE app in access 2003 ... in two client computers having win7 and msoffice 2007 doesn't work ... problem is progress bar control... error does not recognize object.. I put different versions of mscomctl, ocx file but no success...
should i regiter ocx file some how or some other idea...

please help

I believe the calendar control was removed from Access 2007 onwards. You can use the in-built Calendar control or use one you've built (or someone else has built).

I have had the MSComCtlLib.ocx progress bar control break in an application before, and had to replace it in design view, rename it, rebuild the file, etc...

But with your problem, have you tested other controls from that ocx? Does the Treeview or Listview cause the same problem? You may have to test those too, to determine if it's the whole ocx or just that one control.

And yes, you may need to register the ocx file. Google regsvr32, or type regsvr32 at a command prompt. I think it shows help if you supply no parameters.

Did I just confuse mscomctl with mscal?? :banghead: Thanks for the post Mark.

MBM, following Mark's suggestions the link below should provide you with some insight:
http://www.fmsinc.com/microsoftaccess/controls/mscomctl/

this link describe nice the way... i tried with simple installing another version of ocx but it didn't work.. this could work...

But I already ask the clients to upgrade the their msoffice and they did that one of them msoffice2010 another 2013 both 32bit version because I red that 64bit might have the same problem (I'm not sure about this, but for any case i put 32bit because I didn't have time to test if 64 bit version run properly) and after installing new office app works fine after...

Also I left on one client pc office2007 and installed office2010 and app runs ok but when i started office2007 evruthing wents wrong so I remove office 2007 and after that I had to reinstall office 2010 and now everything is ok...

Your link describe nice the steps , and I'll try that if i found new situation like this ... and it will be soon as I could expect :(.. and I'll try those steps and see what will happen... Obvious that bag will be often with 2007 office

One more...
is there maybe any hotfix or spack for msoffice 2007 that fix this
