Hi Rich,

I have no idea how to check this, I looked at Control Panel and then REgional and Language Options and I have English(United Kingdon) if thats what you mean?

geordie - using medium date or long dateis likely to fix the issue, as follows

medium date shows the date as 01-Mar-08 as you say
long date makes it 1st March 2008

1st March is a good example as it can also be seen as January 3rd (US)

in sql statements, I think Access tries to use US dates, unless forced otherwise

so 28/3/08 can only be 28th March, but
1/3/08 can be 1st March (UK) or Jan 3rd( US)

so using a date format forces the date to be "seen" by SQL as the required UK value, and avoids ambiguity which might arise.
