Hello All,

I looked up the information on setting up user-level securities in the Access help files. I read through all of the information and did exactly what it said to do. I went through the wizards and set up my files to have the logins and passwords and only give access to certain files.

Now I try to use any of the logins I put in there and it says they're not valid logins?

Any ideas?

Are you opening the database by using the shortcut the security wizard created? Once you run the security wizrd, you must access the database using the shortcut, as it contains commands to access the security database which holds all the users, permissions, etc.

Yes ...

I've tried using all short cuts that I've put on Access and the direct files themselves. It's showing there's a password set on Access itself NOT on my files. I never sat a password for Access itself so I don't know for sure how to get in and take care of that?
