If your tables have one or more common fields, you can put both tables in a query and relate them on the common fields and then only show the fields from each table that you want to compare.
no it doesnt make sense, to be honest - you ought to know what data is in your tables (I mean the various fields) - and you really shouldn't need to looking at them directly in tables, in the general course of things. You ought to design queries and forms to present the data.
I am trying to do the same thing. Databases I created with an older version of Access do this already. But newer datasheets are tabbed and I can view only one at a time. I am sure there is a setting somewhere to allow me to view the tables one above the other.
I am linked to two different databases with similar tables and need compare data before importing data from one database to another. Viewing more that one table at a time would really help me out.
In Access upper left corner ..Office Button, click go to Access options , then go to
Current Database, in there Display status Bar mark Option Overlapping windows
and restart access. Table will be in overlapping windows.
