Yes it's not in your history books, we went to war whilst you lot were sat at home in font of the box watching your cosy fireside chats:rolleyes:

The war started in 1939 and all it took was a 15 month wait and another country declaring war on them for the US to leap right in. You don't just rush into these things, you know. ;)
Now, is it my imagination or did the US just get criticized for NOT jumping into a military conflict, thereby injecting their point of view into another country halfway around the globe instead of "minding our own business" ?

C'mon guys this is turning into the proverbial Monkey and the Football:rolleyes:

C'mon Bod, This has absolutely nothing to do with any wars

It's all about blaming someone else for all of their own home grown miseries...;)

There is an upside for us though - We see the type of persons we don't want to become... :) :) :)

I figured that was a little too American for the British contingent. Let's see...how to put this politely?

The ball used in American footbal is elongated and pointy on the ends. The reference is to the difficulties experienced by a monkey attempting to engage in sexual relations with said object...and the ensuing discombobulation:D

Oh, I see. Yes, that's where I got confused. Bestial molestation of sports equipment used as an analogy. How sweet. :)

Hey the letter W is cool, who started this thread? Now we have monkey humpping?

You know what would be a cool thread.

If there are no America, what would Rich be so pissy about?

I would say the evidence indicates it may not even be an American thing but simply his nature to be rude (most of the time :) ). In which case who knows what brainless tanget he'd strike out on :p :p :p

(Just kidding Rich, you know you're really tops in my book ;) )

That may come to pass sooner than you think.

The economies of India and China are growing at such a rate - they will soon be the new superpowers and the good ol' US of A will be consigned to the backwaters. It will be China and India dictating to the world for a change, not the USA.

Me? I like a nice curry or a chinky :D

Col

If chinky is to Chinese food, what is mexican food ? Or Polish food? Poll lack

Hey I'm polish

Well now look, I know your history books and media are all to **** but we didn't actually start WW11.
I know your books say it was Japan but it was actually a guy called Hitler.
We were actually liberating countries from an invader, try again:rolleyes:
Colin didn't say anything about who started it, he just said anyone who kills is a terrorist. Look at his post. Go on...

No reason to worry, though... I'm sure the rest of the world will continue to blame the U.S. for everything for at least 50 years after this happens.

Irrelevant, there is a world of difference between having to fight to defend yourself and freedom and fighting to get global domination
