My hypocrisy. How about you look at my post again before you start with your name calling. What I did say is: "I have never read one American, here on this forum, that has come anywhere near being as disrespectful about your country or your queen." I did not say that Americans haven't been disrespectful (usually only after they've had a hot poker stuck in them). My reference was way beyond this post and I was talking specifically to Rich. If you have read all of Rich's post (which I highly doubt) then you can start on Colin's and see the amounts and the depths of what they say and then tell me about my "hypocrisy."

I'm sorry, I don't understand. You're saying that I'm not entitled to an opinion on the merit of your assertion unless I've read every post Rich has made? Well thanks for the offer, but I'm happy that I've read enough in this thread to be confident that you were spouting b*ll*cks.
Basically, you said that 'Merkin insults to Brits were somehow of a lesser degree than Brits insults to 'Merkins. I pointed out, as a Brit, that a 'Merkin post just a few down from your own was indeed grossly insulting to me. Therefore, your assertion fails. The 'click fingers and you come running' jibe was as disrespectful to my country as 'Bush is a war criminal and all you 'Merkins are lower than snakep*ss' is to yours.

I wasn't attempting humour. I was pointing out how comments such as "UK is USA puppy", and the old favourite "if it wasn't for us, you'd be speaking German", are received by Brits.
Although to be perfectly honest, I'm not /that/ offended by them, purely because of their source. Who in the world gives a sh*t what a 'Merkin thinks - after all, its not as though their point of view is an /informed/ one, is it?
