Hi
As some of you will know, for the past few weeks I've been developing a JSON parser database in Access.
I would be very grateful to anyone who could spare the time to test it and provide feedback
Although JSON is increasingly being used as the main method of disseminating data from websites, Access has no direct means of importing or manipulating it.
Excel has Power Query which is excellent but using that adds an extra step
My database is used to do the following:
a) get JSON data from online sites or local files
b) read the data into Access & analyse its structure
c) parse the data and import it into one or more normalised Access tables.
This has now been completed & as far as possible is automated so that minimal user intervention is required.
An earlier version was posted in sample databases a few weeks ago: A JSON parser database
Since then I've done much more but the database is now far too big to upload to the forum.
Although further development work is underway, I would appreciate other users trying it out
So I'm asking for volunteers to test it as a pre-release version & provide feedback.
I hope this doesn't break forum rules by doing so.
I already have a few people onboard but more would be even better
Eventually I may offer this for sale via my website at a reasonable price
If so, anyone who can assist now will of course get a free copy of the release version
If you are willing to assist, please email me using the link in my signature line and I'll get back to you .
Attached is a zipped PDF explaining how to use the database so you can look before committing yourself!
Many thanks
P.S. I've also posted a similar message at Utter Access forum
