If I assumed proof by posting a link to someone saying it is not necessary then I would be as gullible as those who post links to someone saying it is necessary.
That is the very thing I am trying to get away from. I’m trying to get away from the idea that all we need is for someone to say it. I now ask for proof not hearsay and certainly not hearsay which has been posted on the internet time and time again over the years without question.
It becomes particularly important if the person saying so has a good reputation. Have a very close look at this link:-

I am not saying it proves or disproves the point. What I am saying is that it is difficult to simply read what is on the internet and it requires proof not hearsay.
Anybody can read it very carefully and say if they think it proves or disproves the contention that Recordsets need to be Set to Nothing in order to prevent the error which is stated in that link.
I think anybody should do the work and then say what they think.
