My mail to the Customs Commissioner India:

Hi Sir,

Good Morning. I am Prabhakaran from Thanjavur, Tamilnadu, India. I have been living here for the past 41 years. I am having an extreme interest in aromatherapy products. Recently I have found a website in US selling good aromatherapy nebulizers. But accidentally I have provided my ex-company name along with my residing address in the order form that they have mentioned the same in the invoice also. Despite of my repeated requests to that site they firmly conveyed that the invoice details cannot be changed once made. I have spent a good amount of money to order that aromatherapy nebulizer. But everything is at stake because of that company mentioned one unnecessary detail in the invoice. I sincerely request you to kindly clear that product for delivery. Thanks.

Details:
FedEx Air Waybill No: XXXXXXXX

With Hope,
Prabhakaran

No, you aren't the only person to run into bad circumstances. I just spent a couple of months wrangling with Jefferson Parish ("county" to other folks) over a fence variance. Lost the argument, had to put up an ugly fence, which was better than having no fence at all. I have also discovered that after 15 years, my car is probably not going to be coverable for an after-market warranty due to parts availability plus the little issue that the warranty would never pay more than the "Blue Book" (trade-in) value of the car. The cost of the insurance is now close enough to the value of the car that it becomes a losing deal. I'll just have to buy a new car the next time I have a major breakdown moment.

Prabhakaran, if it were me, I would cancel the order completely and then after a brief delay, re-file with correct data. But that's just me.

My email:

Hi,
Good Morning I tried calling your number yesterday but to no avail. Is it possible to cancel the order as the shipment is still in the US and the customs in India will not clear my goods with my Company Name in it. Please consider and Kindly do the needful.
With Hope,
Prabhakaran

Seller's reply:
As the order has already been shipped, we can no longer cancel it at this point- we have no means of intercepting the package at all.

It also shows that it is expected to be delivered on 4/23/25 before 10:00 PM with FEDEX tracking number XXXXXXXX.
