Window7 - Transparency

We have just "upgraded" to Windows7 from XP.

Just what exactly is the logic behind transparent window titles and borders? How does it help to see distracting fuzzy images from other windows? Especially in Internet Explorer and Office where the transparent sections invade beyond the controls in the Titlebar.

That is the usual memory hogging 'fancy graphics' MS usually throws into 'upgrades' to their OS to try to attract some MAC people, bother those who are PC folks and make the people with the rest of the better OS wonder why...
