Does anyone have any recent experience with X Tree.

I used it under DOS and it was great.

I believe it has gone belly up but you can still get a copy. (Legally)

I just don't want to mess up my current system if there is a problem.

A question for the senior community I would think.

I remember X Tree Gold. We had it on our concurrent DOS system many years ago where I used to work.

X Tree was far more powerful than Microsoft's product.

I have a bunch of files that belong to a sick friend that I would like to sort out.

X Tree could help a lot, but if it has gone to rack and ruin I don't want to load it on my machine.

I think you know who that sick friend is. If you require information send me a PM rather than discuss him here.

Rain, I have no experience with XTree, but did some googling and found this "recent" related material. You may get some ideas or leads from these posts.

Good luck.
