I have an Access Database (2010 Version) that needs some fine tuning for school. I've literally spent all day on this and cannot figure it out. There is an Excel file, where there is information on 4 sheets that needs to be imported into the Access DB. Could someone help me? I would need to upload the files here, or send via email if that isn't feasible.

Thanks.

You may want to read this thread prior to your next posting. You will also find some other useful tips in the other stickies at the head of this section of the forum.

John,

I'm new here. I've read everything and am literally spent. As far as double posting? Sheesh, shoot me while you are at it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Perhaps this discussion will give you some pointers.

I really don't need any pointers from you. I just need some help with this file, which will be explained with the instructions to anyone that is interested in helping me out.

Thanks.

So if we do your homework for you will you give us the credits? Or just pretend you did it all yourself

P.S. It's generally not considered best practice to take shots at the Mod's on your first day in a Forum.

Do my homework? I could have a Tutor do my homework at school. I'm looking to do my own homework and understand it.

The smart remarks are really not needed and as far as taking shots? I believe you have been rude from the start.

Thanks but no more replies from you are wanted. And if it makes you feel powerful to ban me and/or lock my thread for expressing my opinion, then do what you have to do.

Honestly, your replies have been very irritating and perhaps you need to work on your netiquette.

Thanks again.

You can not delete a thread simply to hide your total lack of humility.

DoctorPDR, this is one of the best or if not the best forums on the internet. I think you got off on a bad note. Big Booty is right, take a look at all the help that has been offered here. Do a search and see if you can find your answer. If not some one will help you out. Listen I have been there and I know. These are a great people here to help you.

Show me what you have done so far. I happen to do a lot of work in regards to importing data from Excel into Access. If you are using MS Access 2010 this is really simple by first starting to link those worksheets into MS Access.

You can then create Make Table queries etc etc to get the data you want.
