Somebody tell me this is a joke:
To all pregnant women who are reading this: if you live in the UK or next time you happen to be in the UK whilst pregnant, please remember to take advantage of this law. If you see a policeman and are desperate to pee, grab that helmet off their head and relieve yourself in it. The policeman will not be able to arrest you. It is their duty to uphold the law. They will simply have to wait politely for you to finish so they can have their helmet back.

This is 100% TRUE. The 'mum to be' has to ask the officer where the nearest public convenience is. If it is too far she can ask for the officers hat, i guess otherwise he would have to arrest her for Public Indecency.

According to this discussion, it would appear to be a myth
A pregnant woman has no right (ancient or otherwise) to wee in your helmet.
and you'd hope these guys would know.

Hi John,
This is why I laugh when someone tell me, I read it in the paper, or I read on inteernet

oops sorry about the extra e I am still a one arm one finger typest and it is tired tonight as I have been on all night with nothing else to do until they take of ths sling

I always type with one finger, the brain isn't capable of multi-tasking, I'm a bloke. :D

Brian

your a bloke am i am dumb, 'cause i don't know what a bloke is. i have herd it many times but i thought it just ment like we use the word guy. clue me in

Brian meant that men are not good at multi-tasking - an opinion agreed with by Mrs Rabbie:)

And Mrs. Dick!
I guess I am even slower than normal, since I am a walking pharmacy right now!
I have made my wife many db. When one will not do what she wants it to she will ask me to change such and such. As I start she will inevitability say oh and change this also. One thing at a time baby doll.

I worked with a network engineer once whose typing skills consisted of ctrl-c and ctrl-v

'Technically' the law allows pregnant women to relive themselves wherever they need (want) to and therefore, by any whatever means, if they had a policeman's helmet they could theoretically use it, it just not specifies they may use a policeman's helmet (instead of anything else).

Law and semantics ;)

Really? So they can just go on the street? Not that you would imagine they would ever really NEED to in most situations.

There are two rest areas within a span of nothing between Jacksonville and Saint Augustine lol.

If we are going to play at semantics; conversely the law does impose any obligation on an Officer of the Law to supply his head wear should a pregnant woman request it for her relief ;)

Would it then be called a Pit Helmet
