The Qur'an

Indeed, those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them - the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle. And thus do We recompense the criminals.
Qur'an 7:40

Abraham along with his only son at the time Ismail (peace be upon them) were commanded by God to rebuild the Kaaba in the city of Makkah (ancient name Bacca) after it was initially built by Adam with the aid of Gabriel (peace be upon him) many centuries earlier.

125. Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).
126. And remember Abraham said: “My Lord, make this a City of Peace, and feed its people with fruits,-such of them as believe in Allaah and the Last Day.” He said: “(Yea), and such as reject Faith,-for a while will I grant them their pleasure, but will soon drive them to the torment of Fire,- an evil destination (indeed)!”
127. And remember Abraham and Isma'il raised the foundations of the House (With this prayer): “Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing.

Qur’an - Surah al-Baqara (The Heifer) 2:125-7 See also 22:26-27, Psalm 138:2, Isaiah 42:10-11, Isaiah 60:7 and John 4:19-21

When Abraham (peace be upon him) was leaving the city of Makkah, God asked him call out to the Muslims, in thin air as there was no one around, to come the House. Abraham replied to God to say that there was no one, but God asked him again. You only have to see how many millions of believers in the God of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them) go to Makkah to fulfil their obligations to God.

26. And when We assigned for Abraham the place of the House, saying “Do not associate Anything with Me, and purify My House for those who go around it and for those who stand and bow and prostrate themselves in worship.
27. And proclaim the Pilgrimage among humankind: They will come to you on foot and on every camel made lean by travelling deep, distant ravines.

Qur’an – Surah al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) 22:26-7

The voice of Islam began many thousands of years ago from the time of Adam (peace be upon him) until today, and it cannot be extinguished much as you may hate it.

54. And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allaah too planned, and the best of planners is Allaah.
55. Behold! Allaah said: “O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.
56. “As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help.”
57. “As to those who believe and work righteousness, Allaah will pay them (in full) their reward; but Allaah loveth not those who do wrong.”

Qur’an - Surah al-`Imraan (The Family of `Imraan) 3:54-7 See also 3:90.

They want to extinguish the light of Allaah with their mouths, but Allaah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.
Qur’an - Surah at-Tauba (The Repentance) 9:32

It is amazing

It's amazing that someone who has a corrupted Bible in his hand but refuses to read the last Scripture, the Qur'an, which has no corruption.

2. The true believers are those whose hearts are filled with awe at the mention of God, and whose faith grows stronger as they listen to His revelations. They are they who put their trust in their Lord, pray steadfastly and give in alms from We gave them.
3. Who establish worship and spend of that We have bestowed on them.
4. Such in truth are the believers: they have grades of dignity with their Lord, and forgiveness, and generous sustenance:

Qur’an - Surah al-Anfal (The Spoils of War) 8:2-4 Compare with 2:10.

All attempts at dissuading me from the TRUE belief of Islam, will NEVER work as I intend, by God's grace and Mercy, to enter PARADISE.
Why should I follow FALSEHOOD and go to HELLFIRE?

1. Say : O ye that reject Faith!
2. I worship not that which ye worship,
3. Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
4. And I will not worship that which ye have been won't to worship,
5. Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
6. Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion.

Qur'an al Kafirun 109:1-6

Then why reject something before finding some evidence? Strange behaviour.

I will answer this simply: Credibility. To believe in the divinity purported to exist according to the Quran requires me to believe in the supernatural. Once it reaches that point, I no long care because you can NEVER prove the existence of the supernatural as it is used in religious texts. That which can be accepted without proof can also be REJECTED without proof.

Then why reject something before finding some evidence? Strange behaviour.
Then why accept something before finding some evidence? There is no evidence for any of the nonsense stories in the Qur'an or the Bible.

The notion that one's own gospel is the only truth and all others are corrupted is universal among the believers.

I will answer this simply: Credibility.

But YOU weren't credible at all. You said that knowledge of Qur'an 23:13-4 at a microscopic level was known at the time that the Qur'an was revealed to mankind, yet when asked for evidence, you had none to offer.

As far as proving the existence of God, whatever proof is given to you would be a complete waste of time as you aren't sincere and wanting to accept the truth. The fact that you dismiss the above verse, shows how much a waste of time that would be.

Then why accept something before finding some evidence?

But if the microscope didn't exist 1440 years, what kind of evidence are you looking for?

Muslims don't say that all other Scriptures are not true, simply that the uncorrupted versions were revealed but subsequently they were corrupted. Get your facts right.

You said that knowledge of Qur'an 23:13-4 at a microscopic level was known at the time

No, I categorically did not. Drops are visible to the naked eye. It is individual sperm cells that would require a microscope. And when a woman has her monthly discharge, it can come out as a bloody little clot. I don't need a microscope for either. So now YOU can STOP lying about what I said.

Not sure I can even comment on anything anymore as things have turned really sour in this thread. Too much false cut and paste writings of the false prophet. Where is the love?

Where is the love?

Mike, the opinions of Winston Churchill regarding Islam tend to deny the presence of love in that particular quarter. If you have not read his comments, it would be enlightening. And since he had a LOT of experience with Islam while he was doing government-related things in Africa for Great Britain, he had a chance to see it first-hand. His testimony is therefore based on at least some experience. I will simply say, he was not particularly enamored of Islam.

Muslims don't say that all other Scriptures are not true, simply that the uncorrupted versions were revealed but subsequently they were corrupted.
A semantic difference only. Islam considers other books are false.

The fact is all the holy books are nonsense from a time when people mistook having hallucinations as divine inspiration rather than being a mental illness. We don't have prophets any more because mental illness can be recognised by most people.

The "Word of God* written by an illiterate man? A miracle!!!

Adam, I'm wondering how your priest/preacher/God would feel about your calling people names. Not favorably I'm guessing. You can treat people with respect even if you disagree with them.

I've always been a bit conflicted on this. (Ok, not conflicted on this specific situation, but more broadly).
Jesus did a fair amount of insulting, when He was particularly indignant. (i.e. calling people you cheating snakes, fools, etc - which I believe can be fairly compared with a modern day verbiage of just calling somebody an a-hole or a moron)
On the other hand, much of the new testament affirms the expectation that we will love people with the love of Christ (which sometimes focused more on correction, sometimes more on forgiveness, depending - the Holy Spirit guides us I think in these situations).
Then again, it is my personal opinion that the majority of the times in the Bible where we are called to love others is actually referring to other believers. Don't anyone jump on me too hard for that, it doesn't mean I'm saying we should hate unbelievers, I just read the verses and they clearly seem to be talking about within the church - in fact many of them say "each other" or "one another" which quite LITERALLY means one another of you - not others. I do think there is some value in recognizing this (perhaps controversial) interpretation, though ... It would free us up to realize that we most definitely can engage with [society, government, conversations] on an assertive level [when we think it's truly the right thing to do], rather than if we had a super-vague definition of Love (like the secular world does) which basically means to never offend anyone.

Now pbaldy forgive me please in advance, as I'm not actually disagreeing with you, it just made me think of a halfway-related thing that's often occurred to me when reading the Bible and figured I'd bring it up.

oh, and to add to that....Christ is king of king, and lord of lords. The Qu'ran doesn't mean shit. and richard, stay out of this one, huh? I read that you gave up anyway.
By the way, how many different ways to spell the Q'uran are there ??
