I saw a recent clip of a female British politician being quizzed on climate warming. She had no idea of the percentage of CO2 in the atmosphere, no idea how the billions of pounds they are allocating to climate change would impact the CO2 content of the atmosphere.... It brings a whole new meaning to the term "gas*lighting!!!

About 18 months ago an Australian politician said that the plus on the end of LBGTQ+ was there for paedophiles.

From what I gathered at the time, the comment wasn't universally accepted as fact. But the Aussies do tend to be challenging and a little more direct and less woke than they are in the UK. Nothing wrong with that, it's only an opinion after all. As far as I know he was voted in again.

From my own personal observation, homosexual interactions tend to be much more sexually-based than heterosexual interactions.
This is seen absolutely everywhere. The other day I was watching an HIV drug commercial and they had these 2 guys who just stood there grinning and looking each other's bodies up and down in the weirdest possible way - and apparently that was what the community would relate to, as marketing people aren't often wrong. The same goes for the old Backpage and Craigslist communities of personal ads. Heterosexual ads would be a certain % pure sex and a certain % relationship based; the gay sections were 100% sex based, wanting nothing more than random sex.

So from a purely observational and experience-based perspective, I can understand why some people associate homosexuality with certain other objectional behaviors; while I do not believe all gay people have those propensities; yet, it does seem to be at a higher rate than the rest of the population by a long shot

You and I both know that TV can't show what folks REALLY do in the bedroom, regardless of their gender preferences. And your observations don't appear to match up with mine. Gay and straight interactions are sexual because MANKIND is sexually oriented. It is in our blood. What you see on TV representing the behavior of gay couples is stylized because they CAN'T show real interactions.

I've changed my mind about the HIV commercial example. You're right - in that sense, the TV marketers need to allude to the idea of people literally having sex, thus, it makes sense that the commercial would allude to sexual behavior and indeed, a small portion of the commercial did the same thing with straight people.

I stand by my assessment of dating apps and such internet areas - to me they seem to clearly show gays getting together for random sex at a rate 10x that of straight people. However, I'll admit it could be that their inability to marry for so long kind of spurred that on and put them between a rock and a 'hard place', no pun intended
