Ken Higg hits 10,000 posts

Ken- congrats - you have always been help ..
regards

In Rich's case I am not sure yet whether I would even announce the thing because of what I've said.
.

You're a bit late, the last hack on this forum took 10,000 posts of my count and the one before that removed more and the one before that took more and if my style doesn't suit your majesty then perhaps I shouldn't bother at all. Apart from Pat I've posted more on the main boards than anyone else, however trivial they might seem to you.....................

Please.

If anybody has an issue, keep it to PM so we can at least maintain some level of decorum on the board.

This should be about congratulating Ken for his milestone.

Congratulations Ken. Hanging around and supporting a forum, no matter where the post are, show a large amount of commitment to that forum.

That is why Pat Hartman will probably get a bigger fanfare, when she hits 20,000 posts soon, than Rich who's majority of posts in recent years have been in the Watercooler and not giving much technical assistance (and most of those that he does post there are just one to two sentences without much explanation for anyone).

Rich's posts in the technical section are extremely helpful. There are many times he has helped me and many hundreds of others over the years. Plus, where necessary his posts go into more detail if needed.

Some questions are so simple that they only need a one line answer. The object is to point people in the right direction, not to do the work for them. There are many students who post and expect us to write their project for them because they couldn't be bothered to attend lessons.

Bear in mind also that Rich does not work with Access daily, yet his knowlege is far beyond many who do.

Lord Bob - Maybe we should run our answers past you first to ensure they are to your standard?

Ken, Well done on reaching this milestone, I have enjoyed our discussions...

Thanks - and sorry I managed to twist Bob's good will into a dogfight. :)

Personally, I think there's nothing wrong in letting people know you're point of view, even if it may sound a little negative. Free debates are allowed in Europe and the USA I believe.

And thanks for many issues you helped me with over the past years Ken.
I really appreciate your valuable notes and comments on a number of questions in various posts on this forum.

Cheers, Ron
