I deployed a solution the other day to a person that told me some screens were not appearing as they should. We have a custom switchboard form that has 8 buttons on it, and as such, opens 8 different forms. Some of these forms were opening up and some of them weren't. I think the problem was that some of them were autosizing themselves and some weren't

The other thing that may be relevant here is that the switchboard is popup and modal, and so are all the other forms. I had the autoresize property set on all forms, and I deployed it with ADE 2007 to a Vista machine without Access on it. They were using runtime. Has anyone run into this before?

I have the same problem with an A2000 Database - turns out that the forms do open, but for some reason they are sometimes minimised - I have played around with all properties with no success - seems I will have to spend the time setting form sizes in VBA as this appears to be the only way to guarantee they display as intended...

that is too much work. There is something wrong. I would seek a solution on the microsoft website, but this is not COMMON, so the effort they would put into researching it would be 0. Why waste the time?

You're right - I have searched for hours and found no probable cause or solution for this issue. I agree that setting form size in VBA is a lot of work but as my system is now live I don't have any other option!

It is interesting however that this issue did not exist throughout testing and has only come to light now that many users are using the Database - I only tested with 3 users but I find it hard to believe this would make any difference as each user has their own front end. Very strange, but at least it gives me something to do this week!!

maybe its some setting those users have in their options variables - or maybe the forms dont show properly if there is no data.
