Hello Everyone,
I just signed up, looking for the latest trends and latest hints, tips, tricks with MS Access.
I have used MS Access since version 1.1 but I wouldn't classify myself as an expert - just a seasoned user.
I am seeking an answer to a certain issue I am having, but that will be posted in the respective forum section.
I look forward to learning from everyone.
Thank you
Bill

Hello Bill! welcome to the AWF
I like your take on words, I avoid the word 'expert' in almost everything, because it implies something too extreme for my taste.
There are people who write books, these subjects are so deep, all I know is I'm not a book writer! Hope you enjoy your time here and the learning/contributing that occurs as we enjoy chatting with each other on the Forums.
I take it it's getting cold up there by this time, where I'm at in Arizona it's just getting nice :)

Golly, version 1.1? I remember "trying" 2.0, but it was Access 97 was when I jumped in!

Really do appreciate that article - thanks for sharing that.

Only a few minutes to read - but over a 1/4 of a century!

Sends some chills down my back....
Like opening a old high school yearbook!

Have to think that a97, a2003, and a2010 where those "really great release" years.

Again, thanks for that....

You're welcome. I enjoyed revisiting old versions of Access back to 1.0 for the purpose of the article.
Some of the early versions I hadn't looked at in many years.

I totally agree with you about the top three Access versions being 97, 2003 and 2010 with the two worst probably being 2007 (seeming both rushed & unfinished) and 2013 (due to the great feature cull).

For a quick blast of nostalgia of Access from v1.0 to the current day, see
what a trip down memory lane that was. I started using Access at version 1.0 as well, it has come a long way since then. Sometimes I think it goes backwards too
