    Problem open/solved

There a similar practice with a French forum I visit, in which you click on a button on your thread to make a [Solved] tag automaticaly appear on the title. Adding to the fact that you know which questions you don't need to answer, it also helps finding threads with an answer you are looking...

    DDR2 or DDR3

Thank you, these articles were very good. I still don't know which one to choose but, at least, I now know why. ;) I have been taking a look at motherboards and cannot find any with intel processor, DDR3 and SLI. So I'll probably stick with DDR2. Also, I can get 2x2G for the price of a single 1G...

    DDR2 or DDR3

I am looking into building up a new PC and wonder if I should look at DDR3 or keep going with the DDR2. I am looking for a big computer that could be good for many years (easily upgradable). So I thought that I should buy DDR3, but I am not sure. Is it worth the latency difference? Should I...

    Post up your DVD purchases....

I don't buy them, I rent them. The only exceptions are DVD for kids, which my nefew can look at a great amount of time. The only DVD I have otherwise, is the special edition of Lord of the Rings that my girlfriend got me for my birthday a couple of years ago. As for rented DVD, my last ones...

    Favourite Music

I grew up in the 80's and my babysitter's name was MTV, if you know what I mean. And if I don't listen much to the music of the early 70's and previous years is not that I don't like it, but more out of a lack of knowledge and, as most of the kids, couldn't make it to listen to my parents' music...

    Favourite Music

I am not a fan of Classic, but I like In The Hall Of The Mountain King which has a lot of power in it. It is almost "Hard Classic". If someone knows of some other classical music of that tempo, let me know.

    Favourite Music

I like 80's hard rock and power ballads. AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Poison, Scorpions, Van Halen, etc. Hard to choose one... I really like AC/DC's Back in Black: I learned guitar:o and drum:cool: on that one. Quit guitar pretty quick though. Some others: Van...

    Stocks and Shares

I give the dough to my bank and they do the job for me. I don't have to worry about «Should I sell?» or «Should I buy?». I gave 10k last year and it was at 11.2 after 12 months. Altough it fell back to 10.8 this month, I don't have to worry since it always pay in long terms. I am only 37 and...

Creating a company run from home

Don't forget to tell your insurance company. They might add a little extra charge if you tell them but, if they aren't aware that your house is used for business purpose, they might not give you any money if you get stolen or caught on fire. You might also have to pay an extra if you have more...

    Time to remind Rich

Happy birthday Rich. I was just passing by to see if there has been anything new this week (Not much I must say!) and I tumble upon this birthday of yours. Glad that I didn't miss it, although it might be a little bit too late for you in England, here it is still friday right now. You are always...

    Importing protected Access datas

Solved! I found the answer! (In fact, someone told me in another forum...) Since there seems to be a problem with Excel connecting to a secured Access database, I connect through ODBC, creating a .dsn file that can now be used to import datas as well as with the crosstab query.

Giant Homer Simpson Freaks Out English Countryside

It just shows what I wa telling on the «shooting» thread. Why didn't American asked before doing it? They came in and expect it to be accepted by the British. I am pretty sure that it would have been more accepted if they had talked about it first, because I am certain that, beyond publicity...

    Shootings in US schools

I think that the lines are where you put them yourself. If you are scared of or condescendent with a group, might it be blacks, not educated or even French speakers :p, you are going to give the feeling that you don't want to know about them. In return, they will scared you even more or they...

    Rant

Bloody amateurs-- All of them need to learn how it works. The problem is not with those who don't know, but more with those who don't want to know. We all have been starting as amateurs.

    Rant

(Because that is how my boss wants me to do it.) I usualy explain it simply then, if they don't want to understand/listen at my advises, I leave it for others to complete. I'd rather spend my time helping someone who wants to learn than loose it with someone who comes for help then...
