    Hi Rowena, Have you tried a macro? I like yourself do not have a lot of VB knowledge and I have been able to accomplish many tasks by using macros. Your command button could run the macro which would open your query and report. You might give that a try. Carolyn

    Thanks Alex, I had already checked that out but it doesn't seem to provide the options that I want to change. I guess I should mention that I am using 97. Perhaps 2000 allows use to change the defaults there but 97 doesn't get specific enough. Any other ideas?
