For keeps opens in read-only mode "

We have a form in our database that I would like to add a button to which opens another form when you click on it.

I can get the button to open the other form however if I try and edit anything on the form the message "This Recordset is not updateable" appears in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.

If I open the second form independently of the first form I can make edits no problem.

Can anyone help on this?

Thanks

Chris

Look at the code to open the form. Then look at the code in the destination form to see if it does something different depending on how is opened. OpenArgs being passed perhaps.?

Sounds like two different form record sources is my guess?, but it is just that, a guess as you have not given much to go on.

I think there was a sort or filter in place for some reason. After going through the individual settings on the second form and reverting them back to defaults everything started working properly.

Happy days!
