Good Afternoon everyone.
I am having trouble figuring out how to take a database that I did for my mom, that is accdb to make it accdr, and to also put that with runtime. For some reason I cannot get the accdb to go to accdr. Also not sure how to work with runtime. Is that just something that I would just load up on my moms computer, then put the database onto here computer??

The other question, once I get that to work for her on her computer, if she wants updates, will I be able to take the database that I have on my computer which has full access 2010, add the updates then repackage it and put that on her computer? Will that update the one she has, or will she loose the data that she already put into her database? I want to be able to add updates for her without having her lose any of the data she has been putting into database collection.

Thank you in advance for your help.

on your mothers machine, download runtime from here

or package and sign as advised to you in this thread

the accdr is to run your program as if it is running in runtime on a machine (such as yours) which has the full version (simply rename as .accdr and open it). so is not relevant to what your mother runs - she can run either accdb or accde under runtime

You should be using frontend/back end. All the data is in the backend so changes to the front end will not affect that. If you need to make changes to the back end I would copy the back end from your mothers machine, make the changes and copy back again - make sure she makes no changes in the meantime.
