I have recently started to build a new database using Access 2010 and have now found that the UserGroups have been taken away, and I was wondering if there is a way to set permissions from a table to allow certain users access to certain parts of the database, mostly all form access and then run reports.

Does anyone have an ideas and possible sample they might share to get me going.

Thanks

Only if you use the ACCDB file format. If you use the older mdb file format, then User Level Security can still be used. But the problem with that is you don't have access to any of the newer features. So it is a bit of a compromise.

As Guus2005 said, there should be several samples in the database samples category. There are also some I believe here:

Thank you both,

Sorry for delay in replying, I will look at the samples and also the link Bob.

I want to utilise all of the 2010 features so I was aware that User Groups etc was not available.
