Since we have installed the latest Windows critical security updates, upon closing an Access database, the database gets corrupted. Error code is c000020c.

Have you decompiled then compiled then repaired then compacted it? You could try importing all of the db objects into a new db. Microsoft has a free Jet Compact Utility that could help. Search around for I have posted links to it before. I also suggest that you make a backup copy before you start trying to fix it.

Any update on the reason for corruption?

We have one database running on a slow Novell network which is getting corrupted every week. I think it is a user at night who is getting frustrated with the speed and simply killing the process or shutting down without closing the db. I can't prove it yet....
Do you have any symptoms of how/when it gets corrupt?

Turning off a PC while a mdb is open or the old Ctrl + Alt + Delete key combo is a database killer for the mdb indexes will get corrupted.

I agree. Our users are usually very good about shutting down. But it can't hurt to remind the 'night crew'.
The symptom just started happening over the past few weeks. That is why I am curious if it is a MS critical update vs. users.
