Access Database stuck when I open it and try to close it.

ok
Can I just uninstall it and reinstall it again?
would my files be deleted?
You can do that.
No, your files will not be deleted, I.E THE ACCESS DATABASES.

Try a repai first.
Go as if to remove it and you should get the option of Repair?

There is also a diagnostic I seem to recall

I've opened a new database and dumped all the files/tables/queries in it because the original file had gotten corrupted due to the amount of queries that had been run. This fixed the problem.

While it's a good thing to learn that the problem is resolved, I'm not sure I could agree with this diagnosis, "...the original file had gotten corrupted due to the amount of queries that had been run. "

Running queries tens of thousands of times shouldn't corrupt anything in and of itself. Unfortunately, it is next to impossible to actually diagnose the problem remotely, so one guess is as good as another guess.
