Hi

Are there any access gurus out there?

I require a database system and not enough experience to build one to a reliable standard.

Will pay money for work done.

For more specific details please email me or speak to me on MSN
electronicdojo@hotmail.co.uk for both!

Did you get what you were looking for?

Hi,
Rather than start another thread, I too am looking for someone to build a new compiled database application using an existing example as a guide.
Again, cash paid for work done.
Please let me know if anyone is interested and available.
Thanks!

Allways interested, tho not allways avaible. Feel free to PM me tho.

I dont see myself as a guru alltho I allways get the problem(s) resolved :D

Send some sample data and a few specs and we'll see what we can do.

where you based,

if in the UK and the south east then there are 2 companies - one in biggin Hill - and one towards Canterbury (the Canterbury one posts quite a bit on this forum).

if you project is quite complicated -and you require seriving , backups etc and full word/excel intergration then thier is a company called whitespace based in traflagar square - i saw their software oh must be 3 years ago - and it blow me away ...- but look at the budget and the service charges on this - i thought that they were cheap - £30k for a fully function system and 10% theron year after year- my boss nearly fainted - however he has paid well over this (and some ) on a system that doesn't work ..
these guys are pros -

youre right gary

go for bespoke, you should get it to suit your requirements exactly, but its not cheap. databases are rapid compared with 3GLs, but its still a lot of work building in exact functionality.

if theres a pre-built package that gets close, its generally going to be a lower cost solution

I have had some success with www.guru.com. They have a good payment scheme that protects both sides in the transaction.
