I am using 64 Bit Windows 8, I have downloaded some sample old version databases for my guidance, but when I try to open the database Same Error Message on all old databases appears.
Error is:-
" The Code in this project must be updated for use with 64-bit System. Please review and update Declare statements and then mark them with the ptrSafe attribute".

Kindly Help Me

I believe your issue is with 64 bit Access and not a 64 bit OS.

Concur with Allan. We have this problem at work. The Office 2013 kit has both 64-bit and 32-bit versions on it. You have to specify which one to load, and if you don't specify, the default is the 64-bit version.

Don't worry, though, the 32-bit version works FINE on a 64-bit OS. The only time (that I know of) that you need the 64-bit Office is if you use something like SharePoint, and there are perhaps a couple of other items that require the 64-bit version.

If you are in doubt, open up Access, tell it to make a new database (which you can delete later), then above the ribbon, click File >> Account, then in the middle of the page, click the About icon. The top line of the resultant dialog box tells you what flavor of Office you are running. From that error, it is a near certainty that you have the 64-bit flavor.

You probably want to DOWNGRADE the flavor of Office anyway, because if you upgrade to the 64-bit version, a lot of the more commonly used libraries ("references") end up broken because there is no 64-bit equivalent for them.

Remove Office. Get the kit disk. Browse around in it until you find something that says "Install 32-bit Office." Click that. Then hurry up and wait.
