I am having problems installing a run time version of an Access 2002 program I have written on a PC that has a previous version of Access (2002) installed.

The message I get is:
Visual Basic 6 SetUp Toolkit:
The Office System Pack cannot be installed on the system because the languages are not the same. Install the office system Pack for the appropriate language on your computer.

Since I generally send copied of the runtine version out on CD to customers, how do I get round this problem?

I thought a runtime version had all necessary files required to install and run the application included.

Is this going to be problematic even if the customer has no version of Access installed:

I have experienced the same issue.

I noticed that if I changed the destination PC regional settings to English (American) (was Australian) then the issue did not occur, and the installation completed successfully. I could then change the setting back, and the runtime version continued to function fine.

I haven't had a chance to investigate further yet, but will let you know if anything comes to light.

Brad.

Tried it ... and got a bit further!

It now installs as far as 'Choose Program Group', and then comes up with the following error:

" Destination File: Path \File Access Error.
An unexpected setup error has occurred.
Setup failed "

It does add the application to my Program list in 'Start' , ... out of curiosity I tried to open it and all I got was the error message:

" Runtime Error 75.
Missing or broken reference to file DMOCX.DLL v1.0 "

It said click help to learn how to fix this .... but all I got was an empty helpbox!
