Adding data to tables after splitting DB

Hey all,

I split my DB and now cannot add any new data directly into the tables. Am I doing/did I do something wrong when I split the DB? How can I add new data to the tables?

What messages are thown back at you regarding adding new records?

If I open the backend directly I get a "The database [name] is read only. You won't be able to save changes made to data or object definitions in this database"

If I try to access the table from the front end it doesn't give me any messages, just won't let me add a record no matter how I try to do it. The add new record button is grayed out as well.

Have you tried creating a blank database and importing all the tables from the back end then linking your front end to the new back end.

If this works then delete you old back end and rename the new back end to the old back end name and rebuild the links between the two using the link table manager.
