American War Crimes are Happening All Around Us (1 Viewer)

Ignoring the roots of the problem isn’t a strategy. Drawing a line in the sand is fine, but let’s at least draw it based on the full picture, not selective memory.
I know right? Let's just let the past stop of from fixing the present. You keep on about how bad the Dems are but we have never seen this much corruption in our life times. Teddy Roosevelts was able to break the cycle.
Overturn Citizen's United. This is all about keeping us divided so the insurance companies can continue denying service.

Not really, I am an independent who acknowledges problems on both sides. What Trump's opposition needs right now is a coherent message but sadly most of them find themselves in the same situation as you, frustrated and delusional.

How long must we defend the corruption in the White House?
Why this one-sided never-ending diatribe of hatred?

Seems that the Democrats are masters of corruption. Recently, the Somali community in Minnesota has been linked to using non-profit organizations, in a manner similar to the USAID scandal, to funnel money to terrorist organizations. Additionally the Biden administration, when it assumed power, reinstated funding to (terrorist) Palestinian organizations under the guise of so-called humanitarian aid.

The Democrats shutdown the government, yet (falsely) claimed that the Republicans were responsible!!!

The Biden administration was totally lawless. They used lawfare to persecute conservatives.

I would suggest that this thread be closed as it may be headed in the same direction as the prior threads on this topic.

I blame these types of threads for why this forum feels so much worse than it used to.

Anyone who thinks their political party's shit don't stink is wearing some pretty heavy beer goggles. At the end of the day, neither of them are improving regular American lives. Instead of working together and compromising together like they were elected to do, they are stoking the divide with the worst language I've ever seen in politics. Yes, both of them. And it's all of us that suffer for it.

But keep pretending like your party is better. Nothing to see here, folks.

Then why participate? Put the thread and the people on hide. It's easy.

At the moment, this thread is a bit warm but not as piping hot as some of the Hamas/Israel posts had been. @Thales750 - this was your thread and you started a contentious subject. Since Politics & Current Events was no longer available, you picked the "Debates" forum. I would rather not have to get heavy-handed again, but this is a pattern that we've seen before. Seriously, was this topic necessary or appropriate? You were a witness to the meltdowns. Do you want that to happen again? My imperfections allowed me to take a pass on immediate action, but the question has now been asked... should we shut down the thread? Is there something else we can do?

We have to understand that the UK OSA laws have put a huge damper on some really enjoyable - and some miserable - debates. The world around us has changed. How shall we respond?

I'm neither. I do agree about the Dem not having clue. I actually blame them for whole Trump thing, they managed get the worst criminal in American history elected twice. That's a heck of an accomplishment.
As. Far as my emotional state, anticipation of the eventual realization coming for all conservatives.

So far I haven't been in the least confrontational. I certainly haven't called any one delusional.

Yeah I think probably most people agree with that. The real problem with American politics is 100% citizens united we gave all the power of getting people into office and the hands of a very few people this is the result, a nation divide. You may have noticed that I never defend Democrats but it seems that way to people whose only defense of conservatives and general and Trump specifically is to try to deflect all of the things that he's doing by saying they all do it but he's the one in office right now so he's the one doing it right now.
Do you think a lot of people that come here to get help with their access questions and general computer questions ever even open these threads I mean for more than just a cursory look?

Probably not I actually was hoping that it would take on the form of a debate and in some ways it did you mentioned that Obama was culpable and you know attacking Osama bin laden that's reasonable. And I'm doing the best I can not to act like a dick I mean I certainly know how to act like a dick but I don't like it. You know you can go ahead and delete this thread if you want to I certainly don't want to make anybody feel bad for real that whole thing with Pat that didn't feel good at all.
When you're probably right we're probably not going to be able to have a discussion about this without people getting upset.

@The_Doc_Man made a fundamental observation that I failed to realize: "you picked the "Debates" forum". Your initial post was not presented as a topic to be debated. Concerning how a proposed debate should presented Grok provided the following response: "One punchy, debatable question or statement (e.g., “Is universal basic income a good idea?” or “Crypto will replace fiat within 20 years — yes or no?”)."

anticipation of the eventual realization coming for all conservatives.

This is a significant statement involving some level of irony. The liberal Democrats are still throwing people under the bus because they have not yet had the realization that THEIR viewpoint leads to unsustainable situations - witness Greece of a little more than a decade ago. It is always a matter of degree and sometimes also a matter of kind, but the common point is that a government exacts taxes so they can spend someone else's money. When that taxing and spending reach a high enough point, the bill becomes due but the wallet is empty.

Want to try a more modern country? How about mainland China right now, where the younger generation has started a "minimalist action" movement in which the younger generation of adults have stopped working and "gone on the dole" because they see that all the hard work gets them nowhere. The harder they work, the more their government takes. They see no path to get ahead. With capitalism, greed and envy can become positive motivating forces. So that generation has stopped working because their government allows them to do so. Do you want to guess what effect that has on China's economy? And that is one of the extreme socialist states.

Perhaps a little more effort in that regard...?
Seriously? I think people interpret based on how closely opinions align with their own. If someone says something people agree with, they are even supportive of abusive rhetoric. If not, they accuse people of unacceptable behavior. You certainly less than most. but you still do it.

You posted this in the Debate forum. This wasn't a debate, it was an accusation/admonishment. No matter how I feel about what you said (the answer may surprise you), you posted this knowing full well who would engage and what "side" they would take.

I am entirely sure your purpose was to "stir it" - knowing full well that it would degrade into a "my side sucks less than yours" argument, as they always do - and not to bring up a topic with the intent of stimulating perspectives. I don't think you're a bad guy and obviously articulate and intelligent. But to say you had not intention and being a dick is just not true.
