Hi.

I have an accounting program that is written in Access 2003 that uses a runtime version. Now I got my new computer and of course it is loaded with Office 2007 and Access 2007 Demo. I am now getting a number of Runtime errors that kick me out of my program.

any advice?

thanks
Heather

Access 2007 Demo

Do you mean the Access 2007 Runtime or the trial version?

Have you tried installed the 20003 runtime?

Yes I had Access 2007 Demo on the machine. and I have reinstalled Access 2003 runtime but still get problems. Then I removed Access 2007 and did a fresh install of my Accounting program and the Runtime of Access 2003. but this does not seem to help. I still get several Runtimes and the program closes.

I had this problem with a user of my application using Access XP (2002) successfully until they got their new computer. They decided to pay for Access 2007 but were still using the XP runtime to run the application. The program had crashes galore until I removed XP runtime and ran the application under Access 2007.

Sorry I can't provide more of a solution but I would contact the software provider and explain to them what's going on. Maybe they have a version that is more Access 2007-friendly.

I had a problem like this. Actually almost identical.

What I did was wipe all packages and run times off the machine (I left Access installed).

Then I installed Access 2007 Run Time, then Access 2003 run time. This worked for me.

Heather,

Sorry for the OS acronym. OS = Operating System

What version of the Windows Operating System (OS) is on the PC?

Yeah some days I am blonde... The OS is XP Professional... SR 3... But this is happening on other systems where the Runtime is Access 2003 and Office 2007 is also installed..
