blank form with toggle filter (1 Viewer)

I have a form that is completely blank when I go to it. It needs a filter to distinguish which record to pull up, but I can't get it to show immediately unless I turn of the filter, and then it doesn't have the right record.

I've tried turning the filter off on load and a couple other tricks but I haven't been able to find this problem.

I'm curious if it may be the button that gets me to that form, the form itself, or something that I'm not sure about yet.

So I've been playing around a lot, and I figured out the problem, but I don't understand it. I had a button that was transparent, and for some reason the form associated with it would pop up completely transparent. So, now what? I still need that transparent button, the other buttons that are transparent work fine.

What exactly do you mean by "transparent" in relation to the form? Only command buttons have this property, to my knowledge. And what is the "association" between the button and the form? Is the button used to open the form?
