Until they need another hand out.

You see Josey I have the same argument with my bank, they want to charge me for the benefit of lending me my own money, now who was it that made you rich in the first place? :p

American Ingenuity; genetic and cultural diversity; abundant natural rescores; great universities; strong work ethic.

Or maybe it was the Europeans and the Asians hell bent on destroying the world.

Joey, it wasn't us who led the charge into Iraq, 'nam, Cuba Panama, etc. the list goes on..................................

Yeah your right, I wasn’t thinking of little skirmishes, I was thinking of the 2 previous global conflicts.

And how we got to be so rich, after the Europeans bombed each other industries into the ground. And the US was happy to bail you guys out then.

Posh, how soon they forget.

How incorrect your history lessons are, you needed a strong and vibrant economy in Europe for your own exports and to stand in the way of a Soviet attack on the US:rolleyes:

I knew about the creating markets part. It was a win win.

If you have to remember one side it seams to me that you would choose to remember the rebuilding one. I mean from an enlightened European point of view and all.

There was no altruism on the part of America it took all of Britain's overseas investments in exchange for a few old warshipd before it was forced into the war. America was the only country richer at the end of the war than at the start.

Don't worry Rich they even think they won the war of Independence by them selves, France and Spain are never mentioned.

And they still owe us back tax on a consignment of tea!
I hereby demand the sum of $1,000,000,0000 being back tax and interest due.
Make the cheque out to me and I'll see that it goes to a good cause

It's taught to us in school. We all know the relationship we had with France and Spain. They had good cause to see the British Empire divided into pieces. Another example of win win.

One little costume party and suddenly we're in debt for generations. At least you're asking for repayment in dollars rather than pounds.

Regards,
Tim

If we had stayed British colonies, where do you think we would be now?
And, would GWB have had a chance as PM?
