Hi,

I wish to hire a person to convert an access database to sql, when it is tried it results in an error about a macro. Does this site allowing such a posting and if so, where in the forum would I post this?

Can you elaborate a bit more about what it is you want to do? When you say convert to sql do you mean put the tables in something like SQL Server? When you say hire, do you want to hire somebody to do this complete conversion?

I have an access database that I created for my department. The it department insists that it is put on the sql server, when they tried to put it there they received an error about macros and the project stopped there.

I hired an individual from another site that wanted to completely redesign the database, he wasn't able to get the redesign to work as the original did and he abandoned the project.

I want to keep my design of the database, convert it to sql with an Access front end, fix any outstanding design problems or errors, and return it to me in a form that I can give to IT and they implement it into the SQL server. The database in access form does perform as needed with no errors. This is my first databse.

This is kind of interesting - I'm wondering how an macro type error gets raised when trying to put a table in SQL Server - ?

This sounds like something that a person should try to do in person if possible. Where do you live, maybe somebody in the forum is close by?

Have you tried compiling your database? If that kicks up an error it might allow you to fix it and enable the succesful transfer of the tables to sql server.
