Can xp home join domain? (1 Viewer)

Dear there,

I just bougt a new laptop from thailand for office use, it was originally come with OS xp home pre-installed from computer shop.

With this xp home, I have found from several forum reviews on web that does not have joinning to domain server function. So then I rang to the computer shop, they recommended to replace it with xp pro.

For some reason, I would like to keep it running with original OS package than switch to xp pro.

Is that possible or is there any possibility join xp home to either domain server or domain membership workstation?

Technically they are correct XP home was not designed to be able to do this, however there is a work around:

Download X-Setup and following these or these instructions.
