Hello everyone
I'e been making reports and when I print them I can't get them to fit on one page only because Access is not allowing me to modify the row height by clicking on the detail band (with the double edged arrow) and moving it up or down. It stops where it wants to stop, not where I want to stop, so I have wasted space in every row that prevents me from fittting the report on one page.
Any Suggestions would be appreciated!

do you have a line control or something stopping you reducing the size of the detail window - its hard to see lines sometimes

Can you tell me how I can determine that?

Is "line Control" a default setting? if so how do I disable it?

Or perhaps a textbox that has been set at zero dimensions.

Try opening the Report in Design view and then go Edit and then Select All

That will highlight everything on the Report inclding lines and texboxes set for zero dimensions.

I'm in access 2007. I don't have an edit menu and the selection option on the "Home" ribbon is grayed out in design view!

Can you post the db?

Typically, in design view, you have a drop-down box somewhere on the screen that names every control or control-like object on the form. Lines are typically named according to the convention Line0, Line1, Line2...

If you can find that drop-down, you can scroll through to the L's and see if there are any lines. If so, you can select it and delete it. Then you should be able to resize your detail area.

or try to lasso anything in the bottom area of the section, to see if there is anything there?

do you get a line printed at the bottom of the detail section?

that would be a good indicator
