Check if record has changed.. (1 Viewer)

I want to perform certain actions only if a user has changed the record displayed on the form. How do I query Access to determine whether the record has indeed changed (without adding an 'after update' action to each field dislayed!).
I would also like to offer the user the opporunity to discard or save any changes.
