I'm just repeating my post from another thread, since it is highly relevant. Here are some recent numbers.

AWF: We have lost 19.2K Alexa rank in the last 90 days.

UA: They have lost 129K Alexa rank in the last 90 days.

AF.net: They have lost 267K Alexa rank in the last 90 days.

It would be nice if all 3 sites did well, but Google has its own ideas.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It looks like UA has now copied the location and order of the top forums sections of AWF. In other words, News at the top, their Site Suggestions equivalent and then their Watercooler type section. They had this at the bottom forever until this last week. I think they are probably reading these posts.

Meanwnile, our Alexa rank has slightly improved since my last posting of Alexa screenshots...

...while UA has gone further south...

So, from the first Alexa screenshot I did about a week ago...

AWF: 116K > 130K -------> 14K drop

UA: 195K > 335K -------> 140K drop

Thought I would do an update.

You can see AWF has recovered somewhat, while UA has continued to decline. However, one thing came to mind, and that is that each of these graphs when compared together give you a misleading representation of "the truth". Let me explain.

If the Y-axis in each graph was using the same range of units, then the graphs would give a comparable indicator of what is going on. But they don't. The range under the UA graph is much wider than under the AWF graph. It is a question of scale. Without noticing that, it would appear that AWF's Alexa rank is fluctuating wildly, just like UA's. Yet that is not the case.

Let me show you both AWF and UA on the same graph, with just the starting and ending values.

This shows an altogether different picture.

Edit: Actually the "90 days ago" label is wrong. It is more like 110 days ago, because the above graph shows from when I first started the tracking posts until now.
